Your adventure begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Nairobi, passing through the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment. A short stop is made for photos overlooking the vast valley floor before continuing through rolling farmlands and rural landscapes.

Arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch at your mid-range lodge or tented camp. After lunch, head out for your first afternoon game drive in one of Africa’s most wildlife-rich reserves.

The Masai Mara is home to the legendary Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, and numerous antelope species. The open plains and acacia-dotted savannahs create perfect conditions for wildlife viewing and photography.

As the sun sets, return to your lodge to unwind by the campfire and enjoy a freshly prepared dinner. The sounds of the African bush at night complete an authentic safari atmosphere.

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive across the vast plains of the Masai Mara. This day offers excellent opportunities to observe animals in their natural habitat—predators on the hunt, elephants grazing, and hippos resting along riverbanks.

During the Great Migration season (July–October), you may witness one of nature’s most dramatic spectacles as millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara River. Outside the migration period, the reserve remains rich in wildlife throughout the year.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Mara River, followed by continued exploration of different areas of the reserve, including regions known for high predator activity and diverse ecosystems.

An optional visit to a traditional Maasai village can be arranged, offering insight into Maasai culture, customs, dances, and traditional beadwork.

Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and a relaxing night under the African sky.

After breakfast, depart Masai Mara and drive towards Lake Naivasha, a peaceful freshwater lake located within the Great Rift Valley. The journey offers beautiful views of escarpments, hills, and rural Kenyan scenery.

Upon arrival, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot hippos, waterbucks, and a wide variety of bird species, including African fish eagles, pelicans, and cormorants.

You may also visit Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, where you can enjoy a guided walking safari among freely roaming giraffes, zebras, and antelopes—an intimate and memorable wildlife experience.

After lunch at a lakeside restaurant, drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the evening and marking the end of your safari with Bush Doctor Safaris.
